How MarBoba picks the right AI model for each feature. Anthropic Claude is the default; OpenAI is available as a fallback.
Every AI feature in MarBoba is matched to the AI model best suited to it — a fast, inexpensive model for quick UI helpers, and a more capable model for long, structured work. Anthropic Claude is the platform default; OpenAI is available as a fallback for orgs that opt in.
Which model powers which feature

The split keeps quality high where it matters — long, structured outputs you read end-to-end get the most capable model — while short helper prompts use a faster, cheaper one. You don’t configure any of this; MarBoba picks the right model automatically.
Enterprise bring-your-own-key
Enterprise customers can connect their own Anthropic or OpenAI account. When you do, MarBoba runs the AI features against your key, so the per-call inference cost goes to your account instead of counting toward MarBoba’s. Your seat price reflects “MarBoba runs the agent loop, you supply the model.” Talk to sales to set this up.
Orgs with a strong existing OpenAI agreement can also choose to run every AI feature on OpenAI instead of Claude.
Prompt caching
MarBoba uses prompt caching on every Claude call. Repeated context across a conversation is served from cache, which cuts cost significantly on multi-turn features like the Concierge. There’s nothing to configure — it’s on by default.
